Not Everyone's Cuppa was never about selling T-shirts. It was about creating things that make people say, "That's so me"
Hello, firstly thank you for spending your time to find out a little more.
First things first, I'm not a mogul, oligarch or rich brand, I'm probably not that different from you. I pay the mortgage, worry when the bills arrive, laugh too loudly at stupid things, get frustrated with the world from time to time, and have favourite songs and films that I'll happily watch or listen to over and over again. Creativity has always been the constant in my life.
For years I played in bands, convinced we were one song away from making it. I spent countless evenings writing music in Cubase, creating songs simply because I loved the process. These days, that same creative energy has found a different outlet through design.
By day, I've spent years working in B2B marketing, helping businesses tell their stories. It's rewarding, but creativity often comes with rules, brand guidelines, logo positions, and approval processes. There isn't always much room to simply create something because it makes you smile.
Not Everyone's Cuppa started almost by accident.
I began designing posters just for fun. People started asking if they'd work on T-shirts, and around the same time my ADHD brain was constantly throwing out odd ideas, strange observations, and jokes that not everyone would understand... and that was kind of the point.
I'm not a fashion influencer. I don't spend hundreds of pounds on designer clothes, and I've never really understood paying to become a walking advertisment for someone else's logo. I've always preferred clothing that says something about the person wearing it, rather than the brand that made it.
That's what I'm trying to create here.
Some designs will make people laugh. Some will make people nostalgic. Some will make people think. Others might only make sense to a handful of people—and they're often my favourites.
If someone sees one of these designs and thinks, "That's me," then I've done my job.
This isn't about chasing fashion trends. It's about making clothes that help people express who they are, how they feel, or simply what made them smile that day.
I won't get everything right. I'm only human. But if something isn't as it should be, I promise I'll do everything I can to put it right. Every order, every message, and every bit of support genuinely means something to me because this isn't a huge company.
It's just me, sharing ideas with people who might see the world a little differently.
If that's you, then welcome.
I'm really glad you're here.
